Disney made Florida what it is today and it all started with Mickey Mouse and the Magic Kingdom. Kids of all ages will enjoy the 7 themed lands starting with Main Street USA and going on to Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Mickey’s Toontown Fair and Tomorrowland. However many times you visit, the magic remains! Adults and older children may enjoy Space Mountain whilst the younger kids will enjoy rides such as It’s a Small World and having their photo taken with the many Disney Characters who stroll around the park.
A very popular park with adults although there is plenty for children here too. The park is divided into the rides and hands on experience of Epcot itself behind which is situated the World Showcase representing a wide range of countries and situated around the World Showcase Lagoon. You can shop and dine in each themed area and the evening fireworks on the lagoon are definitely not to be missed.
This is the newest of the Disney theme parks. Somewhat smaller than the other parks and can be easily covered in one day but is a very enjoyable experience. Apart from white water rapid rides and a spectacular ride through dinosaur country the main attraction is the African Safari ride which takes you across the African plain to meet real animals. This is a great park for a slightly quieter day and you can dine at the Rainforest Café in the evening.
A great day out for the movie buff! This has proved to be one of Disney’s most popular parks. Stroll down Hollywood Boulevard, take the Great Movie Ride or enjoy the backstage studio tour. In addition to the rides there are plenty of more relaxing attractions where you can watch a 3D Muppet Show, marvel at the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular or see how the Disney magic creates cartoons. MGM Studios has attractions for all ages and the younger ones will particularly enjoy visiting the Honey I Shrunk the Kids movie set adventure. As the sun sets the water and fireworks display at the Fantasmagoric Show is definitely not to be missed!
